Today, in collaborative research, we were joined by two secondary school groups; Stellar Projects from Maiden Erlegh School in Reading (Year 7 & Year 9) and our Reading Scholars from the art and design pathway.

Below is a visual diary following their collective exploration at Tate Exchange as 70 co-researchers took to the floor to explore clay, transforming space through wrapping, warping and amalgamating, 3d scanning, performance and video:

Scholars consider how we can transform the architecture through stretching and wrapping, conjoining architectural elements and the furniture and bodies around us.  These scans document their tests.

Scholars begin their green screen videos considering disappearance, being invisible and transformation. Working in groups of four the scholars who took part in the December event taught the the new participants how to use the green screen and sketchfab apps.  Working alongside them were Reading mentees and together they made these:

Their green screen videos will join those made by visitors today on a show reel and be installed at Tate Exchange for the remainder of our stay, adding to those from Micklands and others yesterday as the exploration of production continues.
